Traveling over Gravel Backroads, Gated Forest Service Roads, Paved Back Roads, Rail Trails, Abandoned rail corridors and (as little as possible) paved state roads. ~170miles total. ~20,000 feet of climbing.
New to bikepacking but loving it. Turning 40 this summer and dreamt up this trip along with a few other friends as a way of celebrating our "over the hill" milestone. What better way than cycling...over a lot of hills. Our Route takes us all around the Monongahela National Forest stopping by some of the best known landmarks (Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob) and also a slew of beautiful backroads and abandoned roads.
Camping two nights and spending the third in a Hostel.
