Ride the Nashua River Rail Trail from Ayer Massachusetts to Nashua New Hampshire and back to Ayer. Paved flat, but scenic easy rail trail suitable for kids who can ride 22 easy miles.
After bike ride, short drive to Willard Brook State Forest to camp overnight. If no reservation available at Willard Brook,, then nearby Pearl Hill State Park instead. Camping is $14 for state residents/$40 for non residents.
Others are welcome to join my (11 year old) grandson and myself, but must make your own camping reservations.
We will aim to be in Ayer Mass at the Nashua River Rail Trail Parking around 9:00 or 9:30AM on Saturday to begin the ride, but will be flexible if anyone would like to join us for the ride. My cell is 978-270-9175. Jim
If Sunday is a better time choice, then we will camp Saturday night and ride Sunday morning instead.
