Save the date for next year’s adventure!! We are already looking ahead to June 3 – 5, 2022 for the next Bike Travel Weekend!
June 3 I will travel from my home in Palos Verdes to San Luis Obispo and park my car at the airport. I have reserved a campsite not far away at SLO Country Camp for the night. June 4 I'll ride to Paso Robles via Morro Bay and Santa Maria Road. At mile 31 I'll face a pretty steep climb, 9.5% grade at its highest, about 1500 feet elevation. After the summit it's downhill into Paso where I'll stay with friends and enjoy great cooking and wine.
Saturday June 5 I'll reverse the route back to SLO with a quick side trip to Cayucos to grab some Brown Butter cookies. That night I'll hotel it somewhere near the airport. Sunday I'll pedal over to airport parking, load my bike on the carrier and head home to PV.
