Clydesdale Rides the Greenbrier

Start Location
Cass, WV
Number of participants
Ride Description

Riding and camping the Greenbrier River Rail Trail ( I'm a large and slow rider ("Clydesdale") who likes to stop along the way, but also enjoys helping others learn about bicycle travel. This is a great trail to learn how to bike travel.

I'll be leaving from the Lake Norman NC area on Friday morning and driving to Caldwell, WV to meet the shuttle (approx. $150). I'll take the shuttle from Caldwell to Cass, WV. There we can explore the museum, have an early dinner, prepare the bikes and then ride. We'll camp along the trail Friday and Saturday. It's a 75 mile trail and based upon the riders we can adjust the daily mileage so everyone is comfortable as long as it aligns with the available camp sites. These are primitive campsites but the trail has water and vault toilets along the way.

Note: portions of this trail do not have cell coverage.
