Natchez Trace Overnight

Start Location
Mile 440 parking lot, Natchez Trace Parkway

Ride Description

We will depart Saturday morning from mile post 440 parking lot near the terminus of the Natchez Trace National Parkway. It's easy riding on the parkway but quite hilly at the Southern Terminus. There is a free bicycle-only campground at mile 407.7, the Gordon House for a 32 mile trip, then a 10$ private campground at Fall Hollow, mile 391.9 for a 48 mile trip, or a Tennessee State Park campground at Meriwether Lewis, mile post 385.9 for a 54 mile ride. The state park is currently closed because of Covid, but hopefully will reopen by then. I'm Marty and I'm happy to "sweep" to make sure folks get to their destination safely. If you would like to join me, we can discuss mileage and such. If you plan to park overnight at the parking lot, you will need to contact the Trace authorities a week in advance. I plan to ride the 11 miles from home to the parking lot! I can provide you with links.
