Biking the Hudson Valley and Wallkill Valley rail trails. We will enjoy an eagle's eye view of the Hudson River from the bridge over the Hudson, Walkway over the Hudson State Historic Park. (https://walkway.org/) and from the Wallkill Valley rail trail trestle bridge that runs across the Rondout Creek 150' below.(https://www.scenichudson.org/explore-the-valley/outdoor-adventures/adventure/wallkill-valley-rail-trail/)
The terrain is paved and crushed stone. Once off the flat rail trails, the other rides will be road cycling to Ashokan Reservoir and a loop around New Paltz. Those rides will be from rolling to hilly with a few mountain climbs. We will be camping in Sam Pryor State Park in the Mohonk Preserve, an area that offers plenty of biking on carriage roads and other activities so we might be adding a few miles there.(https://www.mohonkpreserve.org/visit/activities/)
