Ride Description

I've laid out three alternative routes for a one-day ride in southeast Pennsylvania. Two are loops, similar but different lengths: (40.9 miles) (36.3 miles)

I've done the shorter one before, but now there are some new sections of trail that were incomplete then. Both loops make use of the Schuylkill River Trail, the Perkiomen Trail, and local roads, and go through, touch, or pass near these parks:

Valley Forge National Historical Park

Pottstown Riverfront Park

Schuylkill River Greenways NHA

Central Perkiomen Valley Park

Evansburg State Park

Lower Perkiomen Valley Park

The third route is simply Perkiomen Trail out-and-back from Lower Perkiomen Valley Park to Green Lane Park and back and is essentially all on-trail with some road crossings: (38.4 miles)

There are camping facilities at Green Lane Park, so this could also work as an overnight.
