Thank you for being part of an amazing weekend of bike travel! Bike Travel Weekend included over 700 trips with more than 5,600 participants in 50 U. S. states, 6 Canadian provinces, and 11 countries! It was a success because of YOU. We also want to give a shout-out to the Bike Travel Weekend volunteers who offered guidance to participants and helped promote Bike Travel Weekend.

Umpqua Velo Ride: Forests, Farms and a Covered Bridge!

Ride Description

We'll start around 9AM Sat in the parking lot of the Roseburg Public Library and head east on paved secondary roads (except 1.5 miles on Hwy 138) through gorgeous forests and farmland. At Cavitt Creek we'll ride over a COVERED BRIDGE then 4 more miles to the campsite with a swimming hole. If you're still down for some gravel, the campground is next to excellent logging roads. We'll reverse the route for the return on Sunday. The route:

This is an Umpqua Velo Club ride and is open only to club members. But membership is open to all. If you're not already a member, sign up!

Two campsites have been reserved for this trip. Two vehicles are allowed at the site in addition to bicycles. A vehicle will be available to transport camping gear and, depending on interest, there may be group meals: dinner Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast.
