Ultra lightweight and packable Original Series gear is the most affordable breathable rain gear you can buy. It comes in just one color: safety, and it’s perfect for casual riders or dedicated race spectators. For a matching top, please see: O2 Rainwear Cycling Series Jacket.
Top and bottom, I've had the same pair for more than 15 years. If you pack it in its container and are careful putting it on and off it should last a long time. I don't understand the people here who say it's only good for occasional use. I've used them for days in a row and during heavy rains and it was absolutely breathable and waterproof. I had no sweat build underneath at all. The rain felt cool when it was a hot, rainy day. The O2 product is excellent.
Great - for the right uses

This is my second pair of these rain pants. They are great for occasional use. Compact, lightweight, visible and inexpensive. I used the first pair for years to carry when commuting or touring when rain was possible but not a given. They are not designed for everyday use in heavy rain - I live in Seattle so I know a bit about that ??.
Draw string needed

They will keep you dry but they will work there way down while riding. All day in the rain you would need suspenders. A draw string at the waist would be nice.

I got them for our tour in the Dakotas but never used them, so I guess they were good for weather insurance. They are roomy but not too long (in size small). I am still glad I bought them.

Wanted a bright pair of rain pants that could be used on or off the bike. These fit the bill plus they are inexpensive and worth a try. I am 5'1" , wear a size 8 or 10 and needed the small because they do run big and can easily fit over clothing (cycling or everyday wear). I have no idea how durable these are.
Useful pants in a pinch

The O2 pants could be useful in a downpour but for me I’d have to use them with suspenders. They are inexpensive and lightweight and noticeable but they take up some volume and I’m told they are not very durable.
