Though a little pricier than the few alternatives, This one looks nice and is much lighter. American made, too!
If out of stock, please consider: ?Problem Solvers Light Mount
The Gino Light Mount can be used to mount lights to any M5 threaded eyelet, rackmount, or braze on. By mounting a light at mid-fork or dropout eyelets, it casts light on the ground at a much shallower angle, better revealing contours and bumps in the road. Sliver anodized. 30g. 26.0 outside clamp area.

Great product, works as intended. Wish it came with alternative mounting hardware for forks that don't have a screw mounting hole, then I could use it on other bikes as well.

I use this on my touring bike. When you put a handle bar bag on a bike, handle bar real estate becomes scarce. This moved my light, a Night Rider Mako, onto the fork. It works perfectly with that light, and the light stays aimed and secure even on bumpy roads.

The product description misses some useful dimensions. Mounting diameter = 1.02" (26.0mm) Mounting length = 0.90" (22.8mm) Overall length = 1.35" (34.3mm) Boss mounting surface = 0.45" (11.3mm) diameter Supplied screw is M5 fine thread x15mm which extends 0.26" (6.6mm) for threading in frame boss. Part works as intended. Much better than the wooden dowel I used before. I use it for my L&M Taz1400 light which interferes with my Cateye computer if too close.
