These loose-fitting shorts with a moisture-wicking polypropylene chamois insert are a big hit with Adventure Cycling staff. Great off and on the bike, the flat stitching in these bike shorts makes the pad almost unnoticeable when you’re off the bike. Created from durable, fast-drying taslan nylon with two large zippered cargo pockets and a waist drawstring. Touring Shorts are perfect for the cyclist that doesn’t like the look or feel of the traditional form-fitting stretchy Lycra bike shorts, and wants a bike shorts one can feel comfortable wearing in public.

May Work for Men

I am 5’ 4” and 120 pounds. I got a small and the shorts are snug at the waist and otherwise a bit baggy, except it the center of the front below the waist where there is significant extra space. It seems like the men’s design was used for women also. The shorts are comfortable on the bike, but with the extra material in the front, I feel like I look just as out of place wearing these as I would in tight cycling shorts.

My favorite shorts for the last few years, best in hot weather, but very comfortable with a pair of -33 long underwear underneath.

On my second pair of shorts in 20 years. My favorite all around shorts. Love the poly chamois and breezy cut....great big zippered pockets, never had a zipper fail. If J&G lined the inside of the pocket with mesh, it would make for a super breezy short in hot weather"...may have to get another pair to custom sew an inner mesh pocket on my own. Perfect short for touring Costa Rica! Try em you like em! Hang loose-bubba

If you prefer loose fit to lycra, these shorts are a throwback to before gel shorts with a sewn in liner took over the market. The thin fleece chamois works on the bike but is not like a wet pamper when walking. If the fleece is too thin, get a gel saddle and leave the weight on the bike. The shorts are even comfortable when wet. They are not super baggy unless you order oversized. Super light and well ventilated if worn with no skivvies. Best shorts ever if you don't mind the 1979 Bikecology catalog styling.

Too large

I wear a large in women's cycling shorts, or ordered a large in these. They are too baggy. Should have ordered a medium, but didn't want to pay for return postage and reorder postage.
