Good solution for those needing a non-cleat shoe

I have had and liked several cleated shoes, but had problems finding a bike shoe that would be used for more walking than riding. Gave Powergrips a try, and overall I like them. Only 2 issues for me; I have found it difficult to consistently get the tip of my shoe under the strap, even with adjustments. Also, the outboard strap clamp is a little menace, sometimes catching my leg when walking the bike. Some learning and further adjustment should solve my issues, and just want to point out they may not be perfect for you right out of the package.

Power grips

They were easy to apply to the pedals and they were also very well made . However for about the first five rides they were a little noisy , they made a real loud squish sound . But now that has subsided and everything is nice and quite . I think all it was they needed a little break-in period.

Work well for me

I have used power grips for the past 4 years (approximately 12,000 miles). They have worked very well for me, replacing the clipped in pedals I used to use for commuting. The set I just purchased will be replacing the current set on my bike but perhaps in another year we shall see.

I've tried biking shoes before but couldn't get comfortable in them. They really hurt my toes. Power grips are the best alternative for me.
