Wish I had been using this rack years ago.

As the last minute I needed to replace the old rear rack I had been using for the past 20+ years for loaded touring. (It died after protecting my rear wheel from a car's bumper. Bike & me fine.. the old rack, not so much.) It did come with the needed mounting hardware and installed fairly easily. NOTE: I have a 58cm dedicated touring bike, therefore it has the longer chain stays. But even then I need to cut down the versalock arms. Otherwise they were rubbing on the 700x35 tire. Once done it was very solid and I had no problem putting a fender under the rack. Best of all, the rack design kept the panniers from occasionally swinging into the spokes when I hit a bump just right. Performed well on a 5 day, 250 mile tour on many a rough road. Solid rack at a good price!!

Great rack

Attached this to my fixie for commuter use. Had to get P-Clamps to mount because my bike didn't have seat stay eyelets. Works well so far. Haven't yet attached any bags, just a crate and some bungees. Rack is light weight and seems to be fairly sturdy. Finish does scratch off easily, but that doesn't bother me personally. Good value for the price.

Best rack for the price

Used weekly on all my rides and on a 4 day heavy loaded tour with the family. Hard to imagine you get such a great rack for 37 dollars. Definitely would recommend and purchase again if I ever needed another.
