The Anything Cage is an extra-large and open wide bottle cage that can holds lightweight, roundish objects such as insulated Nalgene bottle holders, small drybags, sleeping pads and shelters.  The three bolt attachment is designed to work easily with Salsa’s own forks (e.g., on the 2011 Fargo) or on any bicycle with 3-bolt cage mounts. Includes 2 475mm nylon straps; stuff sack pictured in enlargement is not included.

The Anything Cage DOES NOT mount to water bottle cage bosses with only two bolt holes.

Compatible with Enabler fork and generation 2 Fargo forks (NOT compatible with generation 1 Fargo forks)

3 Bolt Mount Rating:

I bought two of these, but, have found they really need those three bolt mount's. If you can fit them where you want them, and work out a system to bind them down, they work well.

I like to have my stove kit handy to whip out for coffee, soup or a quick lunch, works great

NEVER ENOUGH WATER Rating:

I used this 96 ounce holder on the Great Allegheny Passage at the end of October. This held all the water that I needed. This also will hold my tent or sleeping bag too. Very good quality and the cinch down straps are very useful. I used a 10" bungee cord to "fix" the 96 ounce bottle in the holder; 64 ounce bottles work just as well. I may get another for my rear rack. Great Product--Glad I purchased it from you and I've received many questions about where others can get one!

A little too big Rating:

Reviewed By: Craig Gaevert on 10/5/12

I was thinking of how to make a larger cage that would hold something like a tire when I saw this and decided to try it. It's actually a little too big and I find it hard to find a suitable space to mount it on any of my bikes. Plus it requires 3 bolts/studs to mount - that's a tough nut.

Outstanding---heres why Rating:

I bought the Salsa Cage and modified it in the following ways to fit my needs: 1. I used rubber cement on the inside of the straps to securely hold my stainless steal 64 oz canteen 2. I use a (rei) tiedown to secure the canteen to the cage (just in case the straps fail). 3. I used old innertube strips to wrap around the cage so it cushions the canteen (avoids the metal on metal rattle when I ride off road) Here is my experience with the cage accompanied with my alterations: 1. My full canteen stays very secure and noise free. 2. The supplied straps (with the rubber cement) are outstanding in holding my 1/2 gallon canteen I have a full suspension bike and barely have room for two bottles. The salsa cage mounted underneath my frame has plenty of clearance on my 26" tire bike. Definately a huge recommend for a rider with my type of needs and configuration
