Take it on the Great Divide Route, the Iditarod trail, or long day trips. The roll down opening allows the bag to easily expand or compress in volume. A removable internal compression strap aids in packing and closure, dual seat post gripper wrap attachments give a super stable attachment. High density foam stiffens up the seat post connection and a flexible plastic bottom sheet adds support along the bags length. Carbon seat post friendly. Black Made in the USA
Minimum of 9.5" clearance from saddle rails to top of tire
Minimum length of exposed seat post is 5"
This is a big seat bag. Check tire clearance with bag properly packed and loaded prior to use to prevent bag damage or worse. On full suspension bikes fully compress rear suspension and check tire clearance prior to use.
Note: If you run your saddle all the way forward on the rails the bag will rise above the saddle in the back due to the sharper angle between the seat post and saddle attachment.

Had my initial doubts when I initially bought this thing. I was hoping that it would carry my foam roller on my minimalist 6 day cycling trip. The FR fit beautifully! I stuffed it with some light cloting and had additional room in the pack for a pair of light duty shows and some food supps. The pack is built like a brick chickenhouse--top quality materials and snapping mechanisms. You can quickly see how it fits onto the back of you bike and cinches down very well. Gotta say I am a believer! The pack is dependable, robust, and pretty much elemnet-proof. Highly recommend it --especially for the panier-adverse like myself. Thanks.
Gets the weight off your back

I used this on the Great Divide for 300+ mile trip. I maxed it out and carried 48oz of water in a bladder in addition to some other things. Sway was slight, but present, until I moved the water bladder, the heaviest thing in the bag, closer to the seat post. This is a great option for getting weight off your back. The bag is well made and straps down tightly.
It's not just for Mountain Bikers!

This bag is very functional and well made with thoughtful details. In addition to bike packing, I have used the Viscacha while commuting. The bag holds more than you would think; it even holds my papers and files for work without much damage!

Added one of these for when we did not need the extra load of Panniers, with a Frame Bag, amazing load carrying. Off road use I do not feel it back there, load it tight, with the heavy items up by the seatpost. The only thing to learn is to thread the seat tightening straps thru the seat frame, click to the short, stiff straps, and pull thru the seat bars to tighten, not the other way around, which is a pain.
A weeks worth of gear in a seat bag

Used this bag on my carbon fiber bike instead of wearing a day pack. Was able to stuff a week's worth of clothes in this awesome bag. Was concerned that it might sway while climbing, but it was never an issue. Would recommend this bag to anyone willing to forego luxuries and pack light.
