Three-four week trip along Ireland’s beautiful west, southwest and northwest coasts April-July 2027. September 2026 a possibility. Dates depend on availability of B&Bs, which need to be booked well in advance. Option for Northern Ireland. Leisurely 40 miles/day, choosing routes as we go.

I’ve cycled in Ireland a few times and would love to share it with someone who’s never been. Countrywide network of quiet, lightly-trafficked back roads. Cool mornings and nights, near-daily rain light and intermittent. Sunny days – occasional. Exceptionally friendly people, excellent B&Bs, good food and beers and trad music in the pubs at night. To complement the biking, we’ll hop a few trains and a ferry to an off-shore island or two.

Seeking convivial M/F travel companion who enjoys good conversation, wit and humor, socializing with the locals, visiting prehistoric sites, natural wonders and cultural attractions and taking the all-important tea, munchie and hot soup breaks along the way.
