I anticipate taking a three- to four-week trip from Krakow to Vienna this summer or next. Departing from Washington, DC. 45 miles a day average and a total of 500-600 miles through Poland, Slovakia, Czechia and Austria. Train travel involved and time off to visit a few larger cities of interest, as well as Auschwitz-Birkenau. Overnights in pensions, B&Bs and small family-run hotels.

I’ve taken multiple self-planned trips throughout Europe, a bit in North Africa and the Middle East, as well as in North America. I’m looking for one other intrepid road cyclist, M/F age 40+, to join me for the adventure. Self-contained touring experience, a sociable demeanor, flexible spirit, intelligent conversation and a sense of humor highly desirable. Interests: historical sites, mountain scenery, photography, languages, foreign cultures and cuisine.
