Gray Rushin resides in Raleigh North Carolina, has taught high school chemistry for 31 years, and is easily lured by adventurous pursuits. This trek was intended to be his third consecutive self-powered U.S. crossing following a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2018 and pedaling an extended TransAm Trail in 2017.
