Sierra Vista Touring Cyclists' Camp

When U.S. Bicycle Route 90 was designated through Sierra Vista, Arizona, the city established an indoor touring cyclists' camp in a city-owned building to provide a place for cyclists to stay and encourage them to stop in the city. Touring cyclists riding through southeast Arizona will receive a warm welcome at the Sierra Vista Touring Cyclists Camp.

Amenities:

  • a large room for sleeping and securing bikes and gear (floor space for sleeping bags, no cots provided)
  • two bathrooms with showers
  • kitchen stocked with coffee, use of microwave and sink (but not refrigerator and kitchenware)
  • clothes washer and dryer

Fees: There is no charge for the camp; donations are accepted.

Location: The camp is located at 3030 E Tacoma Street, behind the Oscar Yrun Community Center and next to the basketball courts, just a couple of minutes off of U.S. Bike Route 90.

Availability: The building is used for other purposes and is not available to cyclists between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. On Thursdays and Fridays, the Oscar Yrun Community Center is open near the camp building and cyclists are welcome to relax there until the camp is available.

Checking in: Cyclists need to register at one of the following locations during the noted times.
