Join Adventure Cycling Association and Behind Bars Bicycle Shop for an introduction to Bike Overnights and prep for Behind Bars X Fulton Racing's New Moon Bikepacking Trip! We'll be having a low-key meetup and information session on Bike Overnights on July 9th, 2021, from 7:30 to 9 PM at Behind Bars Bicycle Shop, 203 13th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
Are you interested in enjoying bicycle adventures from your back door? Bike Overnights aims to provide resources and inclusive support to anyone looking to start bike adventuring. As Adventure Cycling works to embody and do justice, equity, diversity and inclusion work, we're also committed to creating more space and resources for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+/FTW communities who want to enjoy short bike trips.
Come out to learn more about Bike Overnights, its focus in Minneapolis, what you can do to get involved, and snag a free membership to Adventure Cycling and other goodies. Bike Overnights is seeking Ambassadors and Route Developers in the area. We're providing stipends and compensation for BIPOC Ride Leaders and Developers. Feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for more info. We are striving to create a safe meet and greet space for folks historically kept out of adventure bike culture (BIPOC/LGBTQI+/FTW) - if you're a more seasoned or privileged bike adventurer, respect the event - we're here to hear questions, listen to needs, and target support. If shorter bike trips aren't your speed these days, please be mindful of those who are starting to enjoy bike adventuring however they see fit!
Behind Bars X Fulton Racing will be leading its first New Moon Bikepacking trip - even if you're not attending this time, come out to learn about more bike adventuring opportunities and have a good, old-fashioned shakedown.
