Adventure Cycling Regional Gathering in Phoenix on February 26 -- RSVP Today

Join Adventure Cycling Association’s Laurie Chipps and Phoenix’s own Bicycle Nomad, Erick Cedeño, for a special gathering. Enjoy refreshments, meet kindred cycling spirits, and learn the latest about bike travel and cycling in North America — including nearby Adventure Cycling routes like the Southern Tier and the Grand Canyon Connector, and U. S. Bicycle Route 90.

Laurie and Erick will also talk about their own epic trips and how bicycle travel changes lives and creates community. Laurie Chipps quit her job as a librarian in Chicago in 2015 and rode the TransAmerica Bicycle Trail. She was looking for a life change and found it in Missoula, Montana, where she is now Adventure Cycling Association’s Membership Marketing Coordinator. Over the past eight years, Erick Cedeño has traveled further than he’s ever imagined on his bicycle: from Vancouver, Canada to Tijuana, Mexico; and from St. Augustine, Florida, to New York City. His most notorious ride to date stands as the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route. Erick is the owner of the Bicycle Nomad Cafe in Phoenix, where cyclists from all over the world visit to share not only beverages, but stories of the joy found on the open road. Please join us and bring a friend!

When: Monday, February 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (Refreshments at 6:00 PM, presentation at 6:30 PM)

Where: Paradise Valley REI, 12634 N. Paradise Village Pkwy W., Phoenix, Arizona 85032
