VISIT OUR HEADQUARTERS IN MISSOULA, MONTANA!

Adventure Cycling Association has members worldwide and some people are surprised to learn that we have only one office.

Our building used to be a church.
Fortunately, it is a great facility located in a wonderful mountain town: Missoula, Montana.

Not coincidentally, Missoula is on a number of Adventure Cycling's mapped routes and is visited by hundreds of bicycle travelers each year. Some are riding coast to coast across America, others are on shorter jaunts to destinations such as Glacier National Park or the mountains of British Columbia. Still others are on camper-van family vacations or trekking to Missoula for work, and take the opportunity to visit the place many people consider the bicycle-travel Mecca.

   The Cyclists' Lounge.

When bicycle travelers arrive in Missoula it is often the first "civilization" they have seen in several days, and many choose to stay for a day or two. Visitors to Adventure Cycling receive a hearty welcome, a cold beverage, an ice cream treat, and a Polaroid photo taken of them that goes up on our seasonal wall of fame. They can also enjoy kicking back in our cyclists' lounge, which is chock-full of bicycle-related reading material (including information on local rides) and features free Internet access. We’ve even made a bicycle map of Missoula (front page, back page) especially for visiting cyclists. We also occasionally share a barbecue with group rides, like our own Trans Am tour and Push America, a group of college students who ride cross country each year to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Visit our National Bicycle Touring Portrait Collection to view a small sampling of the parade of bicycle travelers who have stopped by the office.

Wall of Fame.

We are located in a character-filled, historic downtown area and are surrounded by a variety of restaurants, seasonal markets, coffee shops, retail stores, and the University of Montana. Before we purchased the building in 1991, our facility was a church and, since converting it to an office, we’ve been continually looking for ways to squeeze in new staff as we grow.

Our office is at 150 E. Pine St. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time. Please keep in mind that our office is not open on weekends.

There are lots of amazing things to do to keep you busy during your stay. Check out the list below for some ideas, as well as some interesting facts about the area.
