What gets the equivalent
of 1,000 miles per
gallon, doesn't pollute,
will save the world,
and transports you in
breezy style? Your bike.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

TRIP DATES: May 16, 2009 - Aug 05, 2009
START - END LOCATIONS: Williamsburg, VA - Eugene, OR

Over the years we've been asked many times, "Why not offer a cross-country option for serious cyclists who'd rather not haul their own equipment?" In 2008 we answered the call by running our first-ever supported TransAm camping trip. It was met with such great success that we're offering it again--so here's your big chance to spin along the 4,253-mile TransAmerica Bicycle Trail going light and carefree!

What will the ride be like? While you pedal your bicycle each day, your camping gear and other equipment will be hauled from campsite to campsite in the Adventure Cycling van. The riding day is yours to enjoy! We'll see you at camp or the appointed indoor accommodation. Still, it is a group experience--and that includes the cooking, which will be done by participants on a rotational basis.

Make this the summer to join with your fellow cyclists and Adventure Cycling's seasoned leaders for the journey of a lifetime on the "grandaddy of all bicycle routes."
