Education Tours

Upon signing up for a tour, you will receive confirmation and preparatory materials, including a Before You Go booklet that contains a packing list and training tips. About 60 days prior to your trip, you will receive a Tour Information Packet with specific details about your starting location, official bike shop, travel tips, and much more.

INTRO TRIPS

Learn bicycle travel techniques from experienced Adventure Cycling tour leaders. Our Introduction to Touring courses will introduce you to the basics of self-contained road or dirt bike travel. A wealth of information is covered during these courses to teach you the basics of self-contained touring, beginning with two days of classroom instruction and ending with a self-contained camping tour.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING COURSES

Our Leadership Training Courses (LTC) are designed to teach the fundamentals of leading a self-contained bicycle tour, and all Adventure Cycling tour leaders have taken one of these three-day courses. Many people attend the course for their own reasons -- to start leading tours on their own, to hone leadership skills, or to get more background for helping with local cycling events. Whatever the reason, the Leadership Training Courses are open to all interested cyclists.

* The number of participants on a tour may be adjusted in response to demand and facility availability. Adventure Cycling reserves the right to make route and accommodation modifications without notification and to make alterations and substitutions in the itinerary as needed to improve the quality of the tour, or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of our guests.
