5 Stars Canari Barrier Rain Pants
by RICHARD TOOL from Fairborn, OH USA on Jan 25, 2011
So far these pants have far exceeded my expectations. I have been using them for the last two months, not much rain but several inches of snow. Lots of wet roads with slush, pant has kept me dry without sweating or overheating. I also used them while using my snowblower, kept me warm and dry.

4 Stars Keeps the cold rain out...
by Robert Colvin from Chicago, IL on Oct 6, 2010
Used twice on recent ACA tour. Kept the cold rain out but kept sweat in. Acted very much like a wet suit, creating warm layer of water between my body and the cold outside temperature. Somebody mentioned that rain gear used on a bike is not meant to keep one dry, just comfortable. That's exactly what happened.

4 Stars Good pants to use hard and last long
by Joe Loviska from Seattle, WA USA on Nov 20, 2009
I've found the Barrier pants to be exactly what I want in a rainpant. It has wide legs and long, heavy duty zippers at the bottom for easy entry and allowance for any type of pants to fit underneath. The Velcro at the ankles is also really sturdy, although to cinch them down tight means to fold the pant leg and zipper in a slightly awkward way. The elastic drawcord around the waist is the only other possibly chintzy feature, but I find that you don't need much to keep the pants up, and it's nice not to have any bulk at the waist. In all, these pants are made to last - heavy duty, sealed pocket zippers, strong fabric, and effective reflective piping along the seam. I actually tore a small hole in the seat doing something incredibly dumb, but the repair tape that I used to patch it has stuck perfectly, and the pants are as good as new.
