These featherlight raincovers are made from ultra light 1.9 oz Silicon Coated Ripstop Nylon so they don't take up much room. An elasticized drawstring allows them to be adjusted to fit the load and a piece of stretch micro mesh fabric at the bottom allows any water that gets inside to drain keeping your bags dry and clean. Available in five different sizes from handlebar to rear bags Arkel's got you covered.

Beat the rain

I picked the absolutely worst week of weather to go on my inagural solo self contained bike ride through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Temps in the 50's and persistent showers to downpours.
Yet, all of my gear withstood the elements and a change into dry clothing at day's end was well worth the investment.

Staying Dry

While I haven't had the chance to test these in Monsoon-like conditions, they did take on some nasty storms in South America.
They managed to stand up to the test and keep all my belongings dry.
They are also breathable enough so moisture does not build up inside of them.
The elastic fit strap makes sure they fit to a very wide range of bags, as I used them on both Arkel and Nashbar bags.
They are also very light and pack down very nicely. |
