From Minot to Fargo, the route follows state highways that carry very little traffic. Long, straight stretches are the norm. In broad terms, the terrain is a vast, open plain that slopes downward from the Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi River. The altitude falls from about 1,500 feet at Minot, North Dakota, to less than 900 feet at the North Dakota/Minnesota state line. One point of interest is the town of Rugby, the geographical center of North America.

*Section 3, Map BC-1123 Cut Bank, MT to Minot, ND and section 4, Map BC-1124 Minot, ND to Fargo, ND are on backorder, they have been discontinued due to increased traffic caused by oil and gas exploration in western North Dakota.  We are re-routing these sections and the maps will not be available until late April of 2012.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your patience. You will automatically receive the new maps when they become available.*

5 Stars Great map!
by Debra Koltveit from currently on the road, in ND on Sep 3, 2009
Rugby ND is a town worth going to; the Prairie Village and Museum is good and the Cornerstone Cafe had good food. It's also 46 miles from the International Peace Garden--another worthy destination. The map lists a restaurant in Esmond, go for the special! It closes at 2 pm, so get there early.
