ACA Helped Me: No Health Issues: I had a bad fall out side of Pindale, WY. My injuries included two scraped and brused knees, bad gash on my hip, twisted ankel, entire right arm with rode rash, black eye and skin torn off my right index finger. Motivation: It was bet in college. Four of us were suppose to do the ride, but we went off to jobs or graduate school. I am a teacher and have the summers off, so I figured I would complete the bet and a dream! Most Challenging Aspect: The most challenging part was the 122 degrees, fresh injuries and the nothingness of the Great Basin in Wyoming. Favorite Experience: There are so many! I loved Montana, and Northern New Mexico. The people I met along the way were fabulous. The pie in Pie Town is outstanding. The idea that I rode in so many places that many people will never see. Of course the wildlife that was around every corner. Least Favorite: My least favorite experiance was having no where to camp in Hartsel, CO and Abiqui, NM. Tips: Do not rush the trip, enjoy the experiance no matter what happens. Be prepared even if it means the extra weight - you will be hapy you were. Stop at the Canvas Cafe in Grants, MT. Be sure to get up at night when you are camping to enjoy the Milky Way with no human light. Online Journal: Click Here
