Summary: From Bangkok, I rode into northeastern Thailand and on into southern Laos. In Laos, I rode nearly the full length of the country, then reentered Thailand in the north.; Self-Planned

Health Issues: none

Motivation: The people and culture of Laos make this the most popular cycling destination in Southeast Asia. I also enjoyed off-the-beaten-track cycling in northeastern and northern Thailand.

Most Challenging Aspect:The mountains in Laos form a formidable barrier between Vientiane and Luang Prabang.

Favorite Experience: Friendly people and the golden glitter of temples all along the way.

Least Favorite: none

Tips: Laos has just about everything a cyclist could dream of!
