How did ACA Help? Gave my parents the feeling of security they need to allow us 16 year olds to speed the summer alone on the road.
Health Issues: Misquito Bites, Saddle Sores, Constipation, aboil on my leg where my shorts rubbed that grew to the size of a grapefruit and had to be lanced by a Dr. in Newton Kansas
Motivation: The Challenge and the idea of doin someting memorable for the Bicentennial Year
Most Challenging Aspect:Appalation Mts. Switchbaks Hard going us, Over use of brakes going down resulted in wheel rims overheating and causing flats.
Favorite Experience: Every day as I metpeople wholived along the trail and Bikers going the other direction and staying at the same cape site or Bike Inn
Least Favorite: A broken Cog somewhere in South Coloradio
Tips: Line all your packs with zip lock baggies and learn how to fix your tires, spookes, Chain and crankshaft Take as many extra parts as possible and the tools to replace or fix your bike parts, don't forget you ducktape
