Summary: A life changing experience. Got to join a friend in 2003 for the Colorado Rockies section again. Hoosier Pass (11,541 ft) got steeper in the last three decades! Only regret: my bike got stolen on the last day in Yorktown. The bike was worn out but that saddle was nicely worn in!; Commercial Trip

Health Issues: Pulled an achilles tendon near Hell's Canyon. Had to give it rest and catch up with the group via bus.

Motivation: Reading about the CycleMates kids leaving from Mercer Island WA for cross country riding.

Most Challenging Aspect:Hill climbing and humidity in the Appalachians and Ozarks.

Favorite Experience: Rode for five miles without pedaling in Wyoming due to a huge tailwind while using my windbreaker as a sail.

Tips: Talk to the local folks!
