Bike Giveaway 2004 Winner Announced
MISSOULA, Mont. -- James Derflinger from rural Lancaster, Ohio is the
big winner in the Adventure Cycling Association's Bike Giveaway 2004. A
five-year Adventure Cycling Association member, Jim will receive a
handmade Independence touring bike from Independent Fabrication, racks
for his bike from Old Man Mountain, and a spot on one of the
Association's seven-day Event tours in 2005. Jim Derflinger's name was
pulled from the over 41,000 current and new members of the Adventure
Cycling Association who were automatically entered into Bike Giveaway
2004.
"Amazingly," Jim said, "the night before I learned I'd won, I was
looking for a new bike on the Internet."
Adventure Cycling Association's tours department offers
vehicle-supported tours ranging from seven- to 15-days, and
self-contained tours from ten- to 93-days. The vehicle-supported tour
schedule includes seven- to 11-day Events and the new for 2005 ten- to
15-day Explorers. The self-contained tours include 30- to 93-day
Expeditions and ten- to 15-day Excursions. As the winner, Jim will be
joining one of Adventure Cycling Association's 2005 Event tours. For a
