Yesterday our small town of Gainesville, Al. was glad to see the people participating in the underground R.R. tour come through. We would be happy to welcome future tour riders with warm showers, camping sites, or just a freshening up stop. No charge of course. Anyone coming through our area can contact me at ram3001@aol.com  or call 205-344-2744 days. Nights 205-454-2744. Ask for Robert or Lynn. With advance notice we could arrange a tour of our historic homes & churches. In march we have a civil war reenactment that would tie in nicely with trip. Please email me for any information that would your tour. Robert Mullins. ram3001@aol.com

Free Camping for Self-contained Bicycle Tourists

We are in Milford, OH, within 1/2 mile of Adventure Cycling's Underground Railroad Route and 1 mile from the Little Miami bike trail.

My wife and I can offer:

a) camping in our back yard (indoor accommodations in bad weather),
b) bathroom/shower, kitchen, laundry,
c) transportation,
d) bike shop and restaurants in walking distance.

We prefer 1 day notice and no more than 3 guests.

I did the TransAm west to east in 2008 and would like to repay the hospitality I received.
