Seal Skinz x-large size Rating:

Reviewed By: Steven Cole on 5/6/10

I ordered the extra large so I could put thin wool liners in for cold weather riding. My hands are medium-large, and these gloves worked out perfectly size wise. I haven't tried them in heavy rain yet but they are well made so I don't foresee any leaks. I like them so far and would recommend them for cold damp riding.

Dissapointed Rating:

Reviewed By: A customer from Victoria BC Canada on 11/6/11

Wore these on a long wet tour and found that not only they didnt keep my hands dry, but cut the circulation down so my hands were cold. Ditched them for a pair of gore-tex gloves that worked much better.

More than Disappointed Rating:

I have used these gloves twice while touring full days in the rain. THEY DON'T WORK! They are not water proof at all. My hands were as wet as if I was not wearing any gloves. Then of course in 55 degree temperatures, my hands were cold as well. At the end of two 50 to 60 mile rides in the rain, I could squeeze out about 1/4 cup of water from each glove. I think that ACA should remove these from its catalog.

Not too tight Rating:

Reviewed By: Larry Lansdowne on 7/21/14

Do not size them too tight when buying, have used these backpacking for years, much like a wetsuit, yes they will get wet, and you have to keep the wind off of them when wet, but as with the socks, you can get thru a lot of wet with them, worn inside mitts when riding, and without around camp they are great

wet but warm Rating:

Reviewed By: Larry Hodgin on 11/21/14

I have used these gloves, and socks of same manufacturer. My hands and feet stay wet, but somehow warm at the same time. Curious, but no worse than gortex sweating, and much cheaper.
