The perfect wool-blend knicker for chilly morning rides, brisk evening pedals, or when the trail gets especially rough.  Great too for the 'I'm always cold' lady rider!

Wind- and water- resistant, the softshell Climawool® Lite double weave over the knees and midweight Merino back will keep you comfortable in a wide range of conditions and temperatures. The superfine Merino wool creates an itch-free, naturally anti-microbial, thermal-regulating and form-fitting domain for vigorous cold-weather activities. Bumps and vibrations are easily absorbed by the ergonomically molded multi-density foam pad; pad absorbs excess sweat and dries quickly for comfort. The knickers are reinforced with flexible Spandura in the seat and inner thighs for maximum durability, abrasion-resistance and support. Gripper elastic at legs and smooth elastic waistband secures fit; flat-stitched seams reduce chafing and discomfort.  Machine washable.

No more sitting inside on a cold day. These knickers make riding in the cool weather a pleasure. They are my most favorite cycling wear of all time.

solid winter riding pants Rating:

These pants are wonderful for riding in cold and wind. I use them for winter commuting in Colorado and they have kept me warm and comfortable in the early morning and evenings. Some people said they did not cover the knee-- I am 5'2" and they come well below the knee and do not ride up. They are soft and look better than normal shiny spandex. The only complaint is the shammy is quite bulky.

The only reason I didn't give these five stars is that the fit is a little tight in the waist, which sits a bit above the navel on me (but I'm a little soft around the waist these days). The wool fabric dries faster than my synthetic cycling shorts. I hope they last as long as the Shebeest knickers I've been wearing for the past five years!
