What gets the equivalent
of 1,000 miles per
gallon, doesn't pollute,
will save the world,
and transports you in
breezy style? Your bike.

Amy Corbin photo ALEX CAMPBELL Development Assistant
Alex Campbell came to Missoula in 2006 to get a degree in human biology at the University of Montana. The draw of the mountains, rivers, and snowy winters was too much for her to resist and she stayed even after graduating. Shortly after finishing a cross-country bike ride from Providence, RI to Seattle, WA, she got her dream job working in development at Adventure Cycling. When she isn’t tooling around town on her road bike or hitting the trails on her mountain bike, you can find her hiking, camping, snowboarding, rock climbing, running, or enjoying any of the fun things Missoula has to offer.
Amy Corbin photo AMY CORBIN Membership and Marketing Assistant
Amy came to Adventure Cycling in 2006 after working and volunteering with various local non-profits in community development, volunteer management, and marketing. Outside of work, she can be found puttering in her garden, wrangling chickens, dogs and a loquacious toddler, all while attempting to become a home-improvement maven.

Since then he has had many titles, including information specialist, editor of The Cyclists' Yellow Pages, editor of Adventure Cyclist magazine, and Macintosh computer guru for the office. Casey Greene photo CASEY GREENE Cartographer
Casey saddled up with Adventure Cycling’s routes and mapping department in summer of 2008. Casey’s career achievements pale in comparison to his glorious elementary school geography bee win. This monumental accomplishment (the big win over five other students at the local Catholic school in Louisville, Ohio) inspired him to pursue the geographic arts. Later, Casey studied geography at Kent State University while honing in on his real passions: maps and bikes. Spare time: maps and bikes, and of course, the family: Zoeona (9), Tula (2), Jennifer (ageless).
Arlen Hall ARLEN HALL Tours Director

In addition to leading tours for Adventure Cycling since 2005, he has logged more than 40,000 miles leading trips for middle school and high school teens since 1998. He served as tours director of two non-profit organizations, 10THGEAR and BIKETERNITY, while running his own computer software company, Rainbow Software Solutions. Arlen has cycled coast to coast on four occasions, three times with teens. In 2007, he was touched by the stories of boys afflicted with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and has led charity rides, called JettRides, for the Jett Foundation of Kingston, MA, ever since. Julie Huck photo JULIE HUCK Membership & Development Director
Julie started working at Bikecentennial in 1985 as the receptionist for the organization. Over the years she has moved to director of the Membership and Development Department. In the hours away from the office, Julie is one of the driving forces of cycling in Missoula. She founded Dirt Girls, is a founding member of the mountain-bike advocacy group LIMB, and is an officer of Missoulians on Bicycles. Her goal is to inspire more people to ride even if she has to do it one person at a time.

Amanda Lipsey photo AMANDA LIPSEY Development Director
Although originally from Florida, Amanda comes to Adventure Cycling from Los Angeles, California, where she has lived for 20 years (with a short stint back to Florida in the middle). After a career in dance, Amanda moved into arts management, specifically fundraising, working for nonprofit arts education groups, dance companies, the Los Angeles Opera, and most recently the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She also served as President of the Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles. In February of 2008, Amanda began commuting to work by bike, and a few months later, made the transition to living car-free in Los Angeles. She became an advocate and activist for cycling in Los Angeles, participating with groups such as the Los Angeles Bicycle Coalition and the loose affiliation of the Midnight Ridazz to lobby the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, the LAPD, and the mayor's office to support cyclists' rights, due process for cyclists who had been involved in traffic collisions or incidents, and the newly adopted LA Bike Plan. Amanda believes that cycling changed her life in a way no other activity or experience has. She is a long-distance randonneur and enjoys heading out for long, fast rides on her Trek. New to Missoula, Amanda looks forward to learning how to mountain bike and exploring the trails of Montana. She also looks forward to meeting and working with Adventure Cycling members and donors.
Carla Majernik photo CARLA MAJERNIK Routes and Mapping Director
Carla bicycled across the country in 1976 with Bikecentennial; the trip changed her life and she moved to Montana. She's been a part of the Routes & Mapping Department since 1983, from the time of hand-drawn maps all the way to the present computer-generated mapping. Now that she is enjoying an empty nest, she has time for biking, reading, traveling, and doing crafts.

One thing led to another, and he's been working for the organization since 1976. Among his many titles: tours coordinator, routes and mapping director, assistant director, and national coordinator of the Great Divide (his book Cycling the Great Divide is considered the route rider’s bible). Today Mac works from his home office in the Tetons, helping to inspire would-be and veteran bicycle travelers through the Bike Bits e-newsletter, Adventure Cyclist magazine, the Bike Overnights website, and more. In the non-Adventure Cycling part of his work life, he is a freelance writer and magazine editor. He is also author of the iPhone/iPad travel application Yellowstone Hotspots.

Whenever possible she can be found enjoying the great outdoors, moving ever so slowly and typically by ski or by bicycle. She prefers mountainous terrain and is more easily found on tree lined ridges. Although normally solitary, at times she may be observed traveling within a small group. She also requires 9 hours of sleep per night.

Greg Siple photo GREG SIPLE Art Director
Greg co-founded Bikecentennial in 1973 while on Hemistour, a bike trip from Alaska to Argentina. Greg has had many duties during the past 30 years, with the main ones being art director for the magazine and historian for the organization. He also photographs many of the cyclists who visit the headquarters in the summer, separates the recycling generated by the office once a month, and peppers the staff with jokes throughout the day. Greg commutes to work everyday by bicycle and is proud of the fact that he started bicycle commuting in 1957 when he entered the seventh grade.

Ginny Sullivan photo GINNY SULLIVAN Special Projects Director
Ginny (or more formally, Virginia) manages two major projects for Adventure Cycling – the U.S. Bicycle Route System and the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route. Ginny kept an eye on Adventure Cycling Association for quite some time before joining the team in 2005. Her previous work experience is in event and program management, health and fitness promotion, and disease prevention. For the past 11 years, Ginny has taught fitness classes, including cycling since 1996. She loves her job and constantly touts, “I have the best job in Missoula!” When she’s not chasing her three children, two dogs, one cat, and husband around to sporting, running, biking, and hockey events, she loves to bike, run, hike, backpack, ski, and play hockey herself!
Josh Tack photo JOSH TACK Member Services/IT Assistant
Josh is a man of few words, who also likes to ride bikes.
Josh Tack photo NATHAN TAYLOR Cartographer
Nathan has been in Montana since 1998, and now has the privilege of raising his son Aden here with his wife Christa. A native of coastal Maine, he had found himself employed throughout the country as, among other things, a Christmas tree harvester, a sushi chef, and a lobsterman before settling in Missoula and earning a BS in Geosciences from UM. When he is not attempting to corral a rambunctious 2 year-old, Nathan enjoys mountain running and thruhiking, and can often be found scampering up Mt. Sentinel with his border collie Camper.
