Australia 2012: June-December   created: 01/03/2011
I am a 24-year-old male and I want to cycle Australia in 2012, 14,000 kilometers over a period of six months. I have done two months cycling Australia for fun but it was so awesome that it has turned into a bit of a dream to finish the ride from Darwin and on to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Cairns. The more people the better, for safety and fun. I am on a budget so I estimate 4,000 AUS dollars for the whole trip (20 dollars a day). If interested

CROSS COUNTRY

Northern Tier   created: 02/02/2012

TransAmerica/Western Express   created: 02/01/2012
I'm planning a cross-country bike trip to start after I graduate from college, and I'll be leaving from either Virginia Beach or Yorktown to hook up with the TransAmerica Trail. I'll be traveling east to west between May and July. I was possibly going to ride solo, but I figured I should look into finding a companion in case there happened to be someone who was planning the same thing and would be a good road buddy.

C2C Discipleship Bike Tour 2012   created: 01/19/2012

We are small band of Christian guys from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ready to embrace this 3,600-mile adventure. Cross Country Along the Northern U.S.   created: 01/17/2012
Hello fellow cyclists! I'm thinking eastbound from Washington to Maine along the Adventure Cycling Northern Tier and North Lakes routes. I'm all about the journey, less about the destination, and the pure enjoyment of biking, and plan on having at least one or two off-days a week to explore small towns along the way. 50 miles a day sounds good. I also like stopping to take naps in wide open plains. Camping and warmshowers.org are my shelter plans. I'm 27 and my name's Zoe. Hit me up if this sounds appealing.

George Washington Bridge to Golden Gate Bridge   created: 01/05/2012
Sticking to the Adventure Cycling routes (for the most part), me and my friend are crossing the country from New York City to San Francisco. Going down the Atlantic Coast to Virginia then the TransAmerica trail to Pueblo, Colorado, and finishing with the Western Express to San Francisco. Leaving at the end of March and taking no more than seven or eight weeks we plan on doing 90 plus miles a day unsupported with a rest day here and there as needed.

Seattle to Key West   created: 01/05/2012
Retired businessman traveling by bicycle from Seattle to Key West, or reverse course, in mid May. Just touring America, seeing its people, and experiencing the freedom of the road. Expect to travel 50 to 75 miles per day, depending on our experiences and sites we choose to see. Looking to travel east to the Mississippi, then south along the river, and east through Florida to Key West. This is only a suggested route. Those who travel as companions are free to suggest alternative routes.

Northern Tier - East to West   created: 01/04/2012
Starting in New England area heading west in the spring and ending in Vancouver or Washington. Averaging 50 to 100 miles but this is my first tour and I am not sure how it will be with all the weight. I'm a 25-year-old guy so I will be traveling cheap. This means camping for free and finding kind people who will loan their couch, but I plan on eating a lot! Looking for a fun person for part or all of the trip. The only requirment is you must know how to draft.

Vancouver to St Johns - Cross Canada   created: 12/12/2011
On May 1, 2012, I will start a four-month trip across Canada as part of a sabbatical leave to learn more about rural communities in this country. The route is along the Trans Canada Highway with planned stops of two to three days in a rural community in each province. We will camp most of the time carrying all our gear, with the occassional hotel stay. I am looking for cyclists from each province to accompany me for a few weeks at a time to help me learn more about their province. It will be an easy pace!

I'm a 52-year-old woman looking for a partner (male or female) to ride in Arizona or Baja California for one week. I have the academic schedule and only have the week of Feb 18-26 to get a winter ride in. I did extensive touring in my 20s and am falling back in love with the sport. I enjoy road and off-road riding and have a bike that can do both quite comfortably. I want to camp most of the trip but will also want to take a night or two in a B&B or motel.
